Bohl Diamond at Blair Field
Long Beach State University has been named by Baseball America as the top program in the nation in preparing Major League Baseball talent. Since 2010, the Dirtbags have had more active major leaguers than any other college or university. This rich tradition has been built by the through the discipline and toughness that embodies the Dirtbags Way.
In 2009, plans for a renovated Blair Field were released. Through the generous support of Marilyn Bohl, Troy and Danyll Tulowitzki, Jered Weaver and others, the beginning phases of the renovation started. This phase included the Tulowitzki Batting Facility, Weaver Bullpen, updated locker room, new fencing around the diamond, padding on the fencing, and the naming of Bohl Diamond at Blair Field.
We are now moving to the final phases of the renovation of Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. This will include:
- New NCAA Super Regional quality lighting system for the stadium
- New playing surface with proper drainage
- Premium seating, suites and dugout club areas
- Updated stadium amenities for fans (seating, restrooms, entrances, concourse, plaza, and concession areas)
- Updated amenities for players including dugouts, locker rooms, meeting areas, offices, study areas, nutrition areas, and sport performance

Soccer-Softball Clubhouse
Estimated Cost - $2,000,000
In October 2018, the state of the art Soccer–Softball Clubhouse was built next to the LBSU Softball Complex and Soccer's George Allen Field. The Clubhouse has individual lockers, sports medicine space, coaches' offices, team rooms, storage space, and individual showers for both programs. Previously, the two have been using public locker rooms in the Kinesiology building and the Walter Pyramid for team meetings and sports medicine treatment.

Walter Pyramid Upgrades
Seating Upgrades Estimated Cost - $100,000
In 2011, the student section was moved from Section 111 in the Walter Pyramid. Since then, some of the best views in the building do not have chair back seating. We are actively seeking supporters interested in investing to upgrade bench seating to chair back seats in Section 111. Naming opportunities for the seating section exist and will improve the overall fan experience in the Walter Pyramid.

Sound System Upgrades Estimated Cost - $500,000
In order to improve the fan experience at the Walter Pyramid, we are actively seeking supporters interested in upgrading the sound system in the arena. Naming rights are available within the venue for supporters seeking to upgrade the quality of sound for public announcements, music, and overall sound system needs can be upgraded.
Basketball and Volleyball Practice Facility
Estimated Cost - $1,500,000

The West Gym, affectionately known as "The Gold Mine," is located in the Kinesiology (or PE) Building. It has three basketball courts, four volleyball courts, which are utilized by Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Volleyball, and Women's Volleyball for practice when the Walter Pyramid is not available for use.
Upgrades to the facility to drive a premium practice environment include:
- A new court
- Scoreboards
- HVAC updates
- Overall finishes to painting and branding
Golf Practice Facility Upgrades
Estimated Cost - TBD
The Long Beach State Men's and Women's Golf programs have a practice facility at El Dorado Park Golf Course only 2 miles from campus. An opportunity to enhance the practice space, greens, short game, range, and a pavilion area exist.
